White Sage (Salvia apina) is a plant from the mint family, used as incense. For centuries, the native Indians of North America have been initiating their purification ceremonies and healing sessions by burning its dry leaves bundled into smudge sticks. White Sage is considered sacred and is believed to cleanse that may be present. White sage is also antimicrobial. And have been shown to repel insects. Beliefs that burning sage clears out spiritual impurities and pathogens.
Purifying properties;
White sage has become well known as an incense to burn for spiritual purposes. Leaves are picked and then rolled into a ‘smudge stick‘. This stick is then burned to purify one’s body or home. This ceremonial use is reminiscent of the manner white sage was used by the original settlers of California.
Interestingly, a 1991 publication demonstrates that white sage delivers an anti-bacterial effect. Researchers at the University of Arizona found this herb can limit the growth of multiple bacteria species (Staphylococcus aureus, Bacilis subtilis, Candida, ext.)
White sage has a highly aromatic as resinous scent that enables a greater capacity of concentration and a greater ease of relaxation.
Instructions;
Hold the cone in one hand, the lighter in the other hand. Tilt the cone sideways and light the pointed end of the cone for 5-10 seconds. when it starts glowing, put off the flame and place the cone on the backflow incense burner (NOT INCLUDED) Enjoy the downfall flow smoke. For an optimal use, keep away from draughts.
